Brigg Bloomquist could draw.
So he became an animator.
But then he wanted to get better at telling stories,
so he became a copywriter.
Then he did the improv thing.
Didn’t like being on stage…
but he loved working with the people on the stage.
And found he also liked cameras.
And lenses.
And lighting.
And practical effects.
And visual effects.
And color theory.
Basically, all the fun bits of animation,
and so much more… So, he started directing.
Now for well over a decade. Collaborating with talented humans in the US and 13 other countries. In more languages than he speaks. And more hotels than he could possibly count.
All these “ands” have created eye-popping narrative work with strong composition and a subtle comedy bent.
Along the way, he’s been featured in all the major creative publications and taken home an award here or there.
And even won a few short film festivals.
When not geeking out about film, Brigg enjoys volleyball in the sand, talking sharks with his son, and writing bios about himself in the third person.
Fun Fact. Brigg was named after Brig Owens, Defensive Safety who played for the Washington Redskins and played in the highest scoring game in NFL history.
